I built quick connect slats for a display company back in 2014, bent pins is not the biggest issue. They lose more than they break, to be honest I ran over a few in my truck after a shoot.
The...
Have you seen the QuickSplit boards, I've heard they work great with the 18Ms
My perspective was mostly from the startup of a display company point of view. I have been using quick connect/plug ematches since about ~2015. We were able to get more cues for our dollar by...
Without getting into to many details, you should be able to run minimum of 200ft of 23ga UTP cable with one ematch at the end without a problem. Cable is about 4 ohms/100ft, ematch is about 2 ohms,...
That?s correct, if you have 3 slats in parallel if you have an ematch on any of the 3 you will see continuity. You will not be able to tell if you have 1, 2, or 3 ematches connected. It?s either go...
If we order black Friday when can we expect to have it in our hands. Place orders on the website?
If it doesn't have a ematch then you use a jumper. All positions need either a jumper or ematch to complete the circuit.
Simplifire Mongoose also has a DMX control option. You could run one PC for xlights, music playback and Mongoose to keep everything in sync.
Typical MJG resistance is ~2 ohms in series that's 24 ohms plus 300+300ft of 24 gauge wire adds another ~16 ohms. So for a ~30 ohm load and minimum all fire current of 600mA you need 18V firing...
Thanks Scott, fireTEK users haven't had an option for quick connects until recently.
We shot slices that were very similar, and had them 100' apart and 3 wide. Replay of the video showed they went about 220', and that's if they function as intended. Unlit comet/effect will fly...
Special thanks to Dave for allowing me to post about muuxBRD. My name is C. J. and I have crossed my day job and passion for pyro to design and build custom firing system accessories. Until this...
I'm also from Illinois, have you decided to move forward with your 54? Where are you in Illinois, I hope you aren't to discouraged with Illinois over-regulation. Get your 54, and partner up with a...
