Hello!
I am looking for anyone that has information or experience shooting shows in Virginia. I am licensed, live, and shoot several show a year in Oregon.
I have a work event in Alexandria, VA the week of June 10th and the engagement committee approached me about doing a small show. I am unfamiliar with East Coast pyro companies and looking at the licensing requirements it seems unlikely I can get licensed in VA before the event. Honestly, I question if I can even pull this together with the timeline I've been given. But, I said I would explore the options.
I'm thinking a small 3-5 minute show of 1.3 cakes. Open to other ideas as well. I just need to figure out where I can find a licensed pyro, product, a location in Alexandria, and if I can permits in time. I can provide labor and a firing system.
The company I normally shoot for didn't have any suggestions on who to contact in VA. Anyone have any experience with shows in VA or suggestions on who would be good to contact locally?
