I was reading through my local Fireworks law. It mentions Toy Caps: "Toy pistols, toy cannons, toy canes, toy trick noisemakers, and toy guns..."
My question: What is a "Toy Cane" as mentioned above?

Could it be a toy waking cane that fires a cap? Kind of a James Bondesque disguised prop type gun? Never seen this referred to in print before, but I seem to have a distant memory of a walking stick like device that could fire caps.
I had a thing when in was a kid that looked like a plastic stick of dynamite, even had a fake fuse sticking out. You could position a cap underneath between a retainer and spring loaded metal shutter, and it had a wind up time delay type mechanism (or maybe it was a pull cord). You would then throw it or roll it on the ground (or just set it up static) and when the timer ran out, the metal shutter snapped against the retainer, detonating the cap. This was probably around 1980, maybe 81, as I recall pretty clearly I had it about the time I was in first and second grade. Have never seen another one like it anywhere.
