I know we have a few members from the State of Georgia. Can someone comment or post a link to any state regulations for someone wanting to shoot a 1.4 or Consumer Fireworks display for profit. Note NOT 1.3.

I recently relocated to GA. While I do not have any link to official state laws, I spoke with my county sheriff when I moved down here to inquire about the laws. He told me you can shoot whatever you want (1.4 obviously) as long as it’s before 10:00pm. Holidays like the 4th and New Years it goes to midnight. Hope this helps

It does help thanks. I didn't see anything myself. Have someone looking to move into small for profit displays using these new Pro products.

Here is a link to the GA law around fireworks.

First, this defines the operator requirements (https://rules.sos.ga.gov/gac/120-3-22). Most of the display law focuses on NFPA 1123 (2018 version), but section 10 around operator requirements is mostly replaced by GA specific requirements. Namely you must be 21, have experience in at least 5 shows with no damage to persons/property, and 20+ hours of training courses or be already licensed in a state that GA recognizes.

Second, this defines the permit process itself (https://public.fastcase.com/9SKwsfNqTc6OieYDhNMyM6lcWIhYsObQZ%2BeVcPs%2FL0KHFj BKtko7nupf6r9ytwf5UaziyzlMGhPlnuvwkKz4Vw%3D%3D). You need apply for the permit 10 days or more in advance with the judge of the probate court in the county of the show. It requires that you must be a certified operator, have the fire AHJ approval for the location, a bond of $10,000 OR proper insurance (limits defined in the link), and a fee of $10.
