Dave.. Read this First!!!
Keep your head Dave,
I for one as a member of PU, like your new site. I have enjoyed most of your vids on the tube and am glad that you spent your valuable time to make them. Please know that the few knuckle-heads from PU that are posting Dave bashing threads.... DO NOT SPEAK FOR ALL THE MEMBERS... it's simple math. It did not surprise me to see this happen, but it only drags the hobby we all love through the mud! And to what end? This should not be a game of divide and conquer, it should be a game of just sharing knowledge with no winner and no loser. At the end of the day this is all about a hobby that we all enjoy and should spend more time spreading a love of PYRO instead of bashing each other.
P.S. I was also the second person to register to PyroTalk and am proud of it!

I agree with Dave! When a thread about pyrotalk.com was posted on the OTHER site, instantly SOME people fired off with their negative comments. Not one moderator or administrator stepped in to stop it. It wasn't till a (NEW MEMBER) made a positive comment about Dave, that the administrator himself SLAMS the newbie for making their comment! Now I'm no genius, but this can only encourage some, who are looking for some sort of acceptance, to take part in this kind of behavior! Some people are only thinking about themselves! I have a friend in the military who enjoys everyone of Dave's videos! He would love to be sitting at home with cases full of fireworks. But he can't, he's too busy protecting the freedom that ALL of us enjoy so much, and a FEW of us seem to take for granted! Keep up the fight Dave, pyro 4 the people!(I got that from a shirt!):D

Dave,
I dont like forums. Mostly because I have to read through too much arguing to get anywhere. People with derranged, and septic personalities ruin it for me. I am only here because I followed you from youtube.
I think your videos are very frank, in an entertaining way. I especially like the right page side video menu list, I can find what I'm looking for. Its easy for me to ignore these wackos from the internet, my only request... please buy an HD camera! check B&H or ebay.
Thats all,

Not to change the subject here...but Dave, if you need advice for a good HD camcorder, PM me. While the video quality can be beautiful on some, the sound quality is completely horrendous. There are camcorders out there that make you feel like you are right there, if you play it on a nice monitor and a nice set of speakers. Deep bass, echoes, seeing flashes from the breaks, crystal clear sparks and effects, etc.

In fact, he did mention on his video that he isn't discriminating every single member that registers here from the PU site, only those that do his site harm. :)
Anyway, great response Dave! Keep doing what you're doing!

I gotta say, I'm also a member of PU since 2009, and I didn't even notice any of this hassle over there. Sorry they're giving you such a hard time.

...too bad it took him over 9 minutes to stop generalizing the perceived actions of a few as being all of Pyro Universe. If I didn't know any better, I would have gotten bored after about 8 minutes (tops) and been duped into thinking that everyone at Pyro Universe was united in posting threads of "hatred". There is nothing farther from the truth.
If you look back at the threads that have caused "controversy" you will see that there are no breaches in pyrotalk's rules (which, in fact, are not very constricting as to what can be posted. For example, there are no rules against posting porn.) and no "enforcing of another site's rules." You will see that common sense and personal "rules" or convictions were presented in posts, and some of those just happened to line up with the rules or code of conduct of another forum.
I know Dave has a vision of a perfect online pyro community that has the feeling of sitting in a coffee shop sipping coffee and talking all things pyro, but he has to realize this is the internet. People can register as whatever name they want and impersonate someone to defame their reputation and shatter their perceived integrity. A very mildly moderated internet forum such as this one will attract the sicko's of the world who like to post pictures of things that should never be posted just for their own personal satisfaction. Without rules, chaos is king. I think Dave has gotten a small taste of that already and I hope that he learns from it instead of playing the victim of a hate crime.
