I'm wanting to hang or suspend a few 18Ms from my 5 inch and 6 inch racks. I'm a backyard joe with enough racks for 2 cases of 5 inch and 2 cases of 6 inch shells. So I use the old long rebar and eyebolt at the end of each rack method for securing each rack individually in the ground. Seems like I saw a video out there with what I would call s hook thin rebar utilizing the holes in Cobras provided protective cases. A simple web search I can not locate similiar product. Solution doesn't have to be rebar, just functional/easy to apply/easy to take down. Cobra has a nice shelf under their mortar rack support but it doesn't meet my need ( https://www.cobrafiringsystems.com/mortar_support ) . I've though maybe even large zip ties but not sure. Looking for an answer from someone who's already treaded this water. Thanks.

I'm sure there is a reason you want to hang the 18m mod but I would consider re-configuring my 18m's to use 18S slats and mount the slats to the racks. It would cost about $100 per mod (cheaper if you purchase on sale). That would be for the new cues, slat and 3ft DB25 cable. It appears the reprogrammer is not needed for this upgrade.

As stated the accessory provided by Cobra does NOT fit my need. I appreciate the slats idea, knew of it, but I'm looking for an inexpensive yet functional means of suspending an 18M from racks. Any help appreciated......

You can just use s hooks to hang the mods off the racks.
I did this when I used 18Ms (I do it with my slats now.)
I found placing a box under the mod while wiring made things easier than trying to wire while it's hanging straight down.

I found the easiest/cheapest way to get the S hooks is to buy rubber tie downs and remove them. You can buy a 20 pack from Harbor Freight for $12.99 That gives you 40 S hooks.

I know this post is old.
But we quit hanging/attaching our rails and field modules to the racks/troughs, we were finding the launch concussion was causing failures to occur more frequently.
Electronics, solder joints, etc do not like the vibration and will fail.

Good to know. I would use slats because I wouldn't want my 18M so close to harms way. I never even thought about the normal wear and tear of having it attached to a rack.
