I've been looking for 1.4Pro spinning wheels with no success. Does anyone know if such a thing exists? Thanks.

I bought a case of these last year. I thought they performed very well! Pricey though

I never really understand this "I'm looking for something" . I mean this is a pyrotechnic product , not a T-Shirt. Say you live in Wisconsin and the product you are looking for is in Florida. What do you do? ..Do you spend hundreds of dollars to have a case of a "Looking for something" shipped to you? Do you drive to Florida from Wisconsin to pick it up? Seems like fantasy thinking to me. Because of rules , regulations and most importantly our BUDGET, it limits what we desire and what we can get.
My suggest is to communicate with the company you buy from and tell them what you want to add to your usual order. This can help them meet your needs.

Some dealers will ship FedEx ground but it has to be 1.4pro articles of pyrotechnics only. FedEx will legally ground ship articles or pyrotechnics, There’s a $35 hazmat fee on top of what the regular shipping cost. There was recently a particular comet I had to have before 1.4pro was in short supply and was able to FedEx ship 2 cases. Coincidentally that comet is out of stock and will be for awhile. You do what you have to do if you really something.

Thanks for the link Greenville, not sure how I missed that on Spirit of 76. I've used consumer wheels (Jumbo Magic Fun Wheels) for several years and the crowd always seems to like them. Was hoping to purchase a more intense version of that effect, Catherine Wheel etc.

Dave-- I have asked two of my more local suppliers (for two years) with no luck as they both only deal in Dominator. I always have a gold sun in my show but they don't spin. This was part of the reason I took your AP course recently. I wish SO76 accepted the credential, they do not. Still waiting on CasaBella for this years Pro list. Would I drive to Florida? No. Would I pay a good amount for shipping on a case, probably, and would likely order more items to make the order worthwhile. Like Scotty Rockets said "You do what you have to".

I can't make anyone sell what they don't want to sell. As far as the Articles of Pyrotechnics education program. There are at least four distributors that accept it. They sell a large variety of Articles of Pyrotechnic products. If there is a particular effect you must have and cost is not an issue, I'm sure its out there.
Outside of Spirit of 76 , there are other companies out there that sell Articles of Pyrotechnics, They are either trying to run their own sales criteria or they are too cheap to be part of protalk and the education program I have. I guess you have to be part of the pyro business to understand how some of this works.

There it is in Georgia and Tennessee for $24.95 . All you have to do is drive 16 hours and 11 minutes to pick it up or have it shipped 1049 miles. That assumes it is in stock. Like I said, I do not get this sort of where can I find this sort of thing. Most of us are limited geographically when we purchase or have to accept whatever is part of shipment from one distributor.

It seems some people are willing to go to extra lengths to get exactly what they want. Not sure what part of that is hard to understand. If you want it bad enough you will find a way. Pretty Simple...

Love the Mega Fortune Wheel! Its Square! They have been part of my shows along with Magic Fun Wheels. Both very good as long as you are willing to address any issues in the hub. I can usually get both locally and will certainly do so. I was just curious if there were any offerings in AP that anyone knew of. The wheels really have been a hit, and hoped to maybe up my wheel game this year. Thanks!

Years back there were tons of these spinning wheels for sale. I'm not sure they were ever big sellers for the average consumer. Not everyone knew how to properly mount them.

You couldn't be more correct Dave. Most of the hubs are in need of work. I open them up, true and re-glue the hub then use a long screw with a smooth shank and and a few washers to make sure they spin freely. A dab of grease doesn't hurt either. Maybe a wheel could be one of your future products!

I have a few cases of Fiery eye by Brothers...Like the post said address the issue with the hub....That's what the weakness in consumer wheels seem to be..

I've not used these wheels before. Is the issue that the hub is loose? Not round? Too big?

Mostly that they are not well secured. These things are spinning fast and are never well balanced. I usually reinforce the hub area along with hot gluing the hub securely to the body of the wheel. If you ever buy some a quick inspection will reveal the weaknesses. The hub itself is generally stout, its the attachment the body is typically the issue.

One of the guys on our safety team at PGI brought some wheels he bought back in the 70's. He said he wanted to see if they would light. They did! They were actually pretty cool I took some video. I'll try to did it up and post it.

The mega fortune wheel is pretty nice, but it pales next to the 76 wheel - here they are side by side.

There use to be some "I-wheels" from dominator. I don't know if they make them anymore, but I have a few left. I used all three in the opening segment of last year's 4th of July show (https://youtu.be/6znkkiYg4b8)

Oh, here is a picture of the I-wheels from a few years ago. I also rigged up some poles that allow you to set up multiple wheels on a single axle - you just need to make sure you have them wired in the right sequence.

I used that same pole for the mega fortune wheels this last year

Impressive. I especially like putting more than one on an axle, I may borrow that technique. Thanks for the tip on the I-Wheel, maybe there are some out there.

That is absolutely the best wheel I have ever seen. I will admit I have some wheel envy going on! Thanks for the video link. I assume they are no longer in production.

I'I think you are right about no longer in production. I do realize how lucky I was finding what I wanted for this year. Im really impressed with the construction of the things. It came with a wooden hub to ride on with 2 washers and a cotter pin. I plan on reusing them,so the next project is buy/build some drivers/saxons! I would love a Catherine wheel too!! I've been sketching some designs. That old school stuff is timeless

In my opinion there really is a gap in availability of set pieces.
