Check this out. A tool originally designed to fight crime and gunshots find a new use to catch illegal fireworks use. It must be high tech as you will see in one of the video it will differentiate between gunshots and a firecracker.

Just another example of our out of control big government using good technology for something other than what it was designed for. Shot Spotter--good for eliminating violent crime. there you have it!!! great idea, if they ever did that up my way (doubt it) Id bring them around town a few times and then head straigt for the barracks seeing how they will probably be out looking for me... :)
