We all know the legal maximum amount of powder in a firecracker is 50 milligrams. Does anyone know the limits for other types of fireworks..?

if memory serves me correctly: a single cake can't be over 500 grams, a single shot can't be over 60 and a shell can't be over 1.75" around. obviously that's for us joes, it's different for the pros. and for consumer fireworks a 500 gram cake's tubes have to be an in and a half or greater for all tubes in said cake.there's lots of others i'd imagine, those are just the ones i've learned from here that i vaguely remember

Remember, those are the just maximum limits. What people buy in stores most likely not have that. Most 60g shells don't have the full 60g and most 500g cakes don't have the full 500g. This is despite all the marketing of 5 and 6" reloadables and 3" NOABs. It's sad, but at the same time I can kinda understand why it is. Still, there's alot of smoke and mirros in the fireworks business
