Comet and single shot mounting

I was thinking of making a bunch of plywood plates 1?x1? and sticking a carriage bolt up through the center to be able to then zip tie my comets/single shot items to that.. this way I can easily place them where I want .. any thoughts on that or what do you use or do??? I?m sure I will eventually get some slider plates but not in this years budget... also the company I?ve worked for just puts there?s in short wooden racks ..which is a pretty simple way to go also

I don’t have any pics of mine, but I use pegboard screwed to a 2x2 runner around 36 inches long for comets. You can just use zip ties to secure the comets and get the angles that you want.

Matt depending on how many you are talking about and it sounds like you are going all vertical, I used to just tape around 10 of them together and stake them before I had racks. Basically free and easy.

I tape them together and use wood hobby sticks I get from Wal Mart for $0.20 each and you can angle them any way you want. Cheap. Effective. Works like a champ.

How much bottom support do you guys give? I was always afraid mine would shoot backwards out of the zip ties but perhaps that isn't actually an issue?

Some of the high lift devices can recoil, I would recommending having a base. When I do angled devices that are loose, I just bend some metal corner braces, screw it into a wood base, and zip tie the device to it.

I've had great success with hot glue on OSB.
