To the usual group of people that help me with this display. Bring your usually pyro work stuff. The Collier Sportsman Club fireworks is this Saturday August 24, 2019. Be there around 12 to 12:30 PM, we eat and then go to work. I contracted with Kellner Fireworks again this year to deliver the fireworks. No need to bring any product, bring black powder if you have some for the cannon. For those following my videos , I'll have video for my YouTube channel of the event. I will probably bring that big ass canon out from the club and shoot that also again this year. LOL

This video is for Rick and Ryan to analyze the fireball effect they donated to my annual sportsman club fireworks display here in Pennsylvania. You can see the spherical titanium sparks breaking the top of the mortar and igniting the gasoline. We added small salutes elevated 2 feet above the ground to make a boom as the mixture lifted. Normally these fireballs are not real loud. I feel adding the boom makes it more dramatic. The ideal fireball effect does not have anything burning on the ground.

Those are always cool effects to have in a show. The PGI had one this year that was 1200 gallons of gas and 100lbs of black powder and I forget how many salutes. It went off clear across the display area and it still felt hot on the skin. Too hot for some folks liking.

At Rick. On that PGI Fireball were there ground salutes or just ones in the air? I think the Boom next to the mortar going off when the gas lifts enhances the effect. I probably should have ripped a 3 inch salute from the finale on this but we used small salutes next to mortar. You'll see it when I release the video

Aerial salutes only. Not sure that ground salutes would be effective with that one due to the distance. It was fired about 700-800 feet from the safety line.

My recollection is they had both. I searched and searched this morning but I couldn't find the video to post. I know I have it somewhere!! As soon as I find it I'll get it posted.

Here's a link to the "super nuke" fireball at PGI this year. Looks like no salutes at ignition. Just afterwards.

Rick I glad to see you now know how to make a video play directly on the forums. For those that need to know, you click on the little green film icon and place the link in the newly open little window.

So you mix the titanium with the 2FA in the bottle that goes at the bottom of the gun? From the video it looks like the titanium was outside shooting up and over the gun before the gas lit. Optical illusion?
