Michigan house has passed a bill (witch hopefully will become law) to alow the sale and use of 1.4g fireworks. The current law requires shooters to get permision from the local fire marshall and then they tell you IF and WHEN you can shoot. They usually require insurance to shoot. If this bill becomes law then Michigan residents will not need to get a permit to shoot 1.4g and aslo will legalize the sale of 1.4g consumer fireworks. Great news for me but bad news for all the fireworks stores at the Michigan border.

OR......we could all move to South Carolina.....I shouldnt complain I am 15 minutes from the NH Border and moving closer hopefully soon.....

I'm not shure if I'm correct on this but I think the senate wanted to tweek the bill a bit and still has to hash it out before it goes to the governer.

I have been part of a working group that lobbied for this for the past six years and this passing has been such a relief. The old law stood for 72 years and wasn't fair to anyone. The only bad thing is their is a 10 million dollar insurance requirement for sellers.
