I want to welcome back one of my previous advertisers State Line Fireworks and Dapkus Fireworks. Last year they were hit with a most unusual fire that cost them most of their inventory. They tell me they are now fully recovered and ready to do business this year. To show their gratitude to the fire department that saved most of their store location they are showing their appreciation by donating the proceeds from the Cobra Fireworks Firing System raffle. The store caught fire from a shotgun blast. You have to read it to believe it.

On Sept. 24, Winchester firefighters were called to the store at 151 Keene Road at about 3:30 p.m. in response to a fire alarm, according to the release. Upon arrival, they found heavy smoke coming from the building, the release says. The store was open at the time, and two employees were present but outside the building.

The joint investigation of the state fire marshal?s office, the Winchester Fire Department and the Winchester Police Department determined Champagne recklessly discharged a 12-gauge shotgun from within a house at 156 Keene Road, across from the fireworks store, according to the release.

I received a question and I am waiting for the answer. On the Cobra raffle the website says WE DO NOT SHIP. ALL ORDERS MUST BE PICKED UP AT OUR STORE I am sure that is referencing the live fireworks products and not the Cobra. To be certain I am waiting for a response from State Line.

Geeod questions i cant imagine they wouldn't ship a cobra though that shouldnt require any kind of a permit like fireworks would

i remember this from a while ago, it was posted here. i'm glad they're back open. does insurance cover that? i mean that would most likely be a bankruptcy most likely if one didn't have insurance (i know it's required) anyway. again; it's good to see them open again

I just received clarification directly from Mike Dapkus the owner. YES THE COBRA WILL SHIP TO THE WINNER. The fireworks involved in the raffle will not.

that was my thought on the matter. "it's a good cause & i could win" even though i don't really win these things. it's still worth buying a ticket. and like gamblers say "you can't win if you don't buy a ticket"

We appreciate everyone's response and donations for this raffle. It was a somber day on the day of the fire, but all 6 fire departments that responded did a great job. This is our way and you all.. the pyro community's way of thinking them for saving our building.
