went down to wfboom over the weekend to take advantage of the 40% discount and couldn't be happier. I got 16 cases of 500 gram repeaters and 6 cases of 200 gram repeaters, along with 2 zipper cakes for $1,100. Needless to say excited for the fourth. I highly recommend this place, great staff and great pricing! Any Michigan pyros around i would love too chat. Working with a ton of product this year. On top of that i have 4 boxes of excels, and 96 2" salutes.

Sounds like you're going to have a great show this year! Congrats on the haul. Do you use a firing system or will you be daisy-chaining them up with visco?

not sure Rick probably hand fire. The firing systems look a little overwhelming. I will probably be using some quick match with fuse connex

Wow.. that really is some haul!! NICE!!! That is def alot of stuff to be all fusing together. Will be fun though!! It is 100% not overwhelming to use a firing system.. especially with as much stuff as you have there.. will only enhance the experience.for you and the crowd. . personally i have the cheapest/ simplest firing system to use and since i got it ive never looked back... only forward to the day i get a better one.. lol

Agree with Mattp 100%. I have always did the hand firing and last year I used a cheap 12cue Chinese Firing System and it was a wonderful experience. I have bought a more capable system for this year but still consider a cheaper system.

Nice.. ive had a few of them before.. monstrous palms and bombastic are really nice.. my firing system doesn't even have a brand name.. lol. Straight outta china.. dave has a video or two on them.. but it is a great starter system for the price.. same as mountainveiw

Definitely agree with what everyone is saying. Even if you daisy chain the cakes with visco, I'd still pick up a cheap Chinese firing system to set everything off. It's much MUCH nicer IMHO than hand-lighting. Don't invest too much money in one though, because as soon as you use it, you're going to want to jump into something better like a Cobra! Lol.

I'm from the southwest part of Michigan, never made the trip over to wfboom... Been to overstock central and just about every store within an hour of Kalamazoo

i am curious for anyone who has ordered the artillery shells from wf boom: are they as powerful as their videos seem?

where do you get the excals from? i have a hard time finding them at a decent wholesale price, unless i make that site my main order and get the quantity discount..

Another vote here for you to get a firing system. We got ours in 2015 and our show is 1000% better because of it.
My order is in at WFBoom.... 1008 pounds of fireworks!

The next big thing is a great cake. Great performance for the price.
Exclesior is a good one as well.
You will be happy you picked these two up. :)

I used Spirit of Liberty for a few years for my finale. Great shell kit with lots of different options and breaks. Prices was good too.

Continuum is very good, highly recommended. Almost picked it up again this year, but I decided to try the 44 Magnums instead. Spirit of Liberty was good when I used to buy it a few years back, although they stopped including quad breaks in those shell kits this year. My guess is it has something to do with the rising costs of ball shells due to production (that used to be one of my favorite shell kits, but now I just strictly buy canisters, lol). I have videos for some of WF Boom's artillery shells on my channel (including Continuum, Commander In Chief and Electric Rain). I'd stay away from Fixin' to Fire as they're selling the watered down version this year (the watered down versions use cardboard boxes to hold the shells instead of the pair of clear plastic bags that hold all 12 shells, 6 in each bag).
Also, this is just some general advice, but I'd watch the most recent videos of the items that you're looking for, because there is a chance that some of these items may not perform exactly the same, or they have been updated in some way compared to previous years.
