I built a 26 shot mortar rack this week and thought I would share it with everyone . Please let me know what you think and if anything I could do to this rack to improve it.

I personally would put handles on each side to hep carry it to the shoot site. Other than that, it looks great. How heavy is it?

It weighs about 50 pounds. In the future I might add wheels to it.

It looks good. If you wanted to cut down the weight you could use 2 x 2's instead of 2 x 4's on the base.

Solid rack...just way to heavy for only 26 shots. Looks good though. :)

It'd be interesting to see what happens if you have a blowout....especially in that center tube.....are they staggered or is that middle tube 24 inches tall???

The tubes are only 12 inches. It will be interesting to see what will happens when I go to use it.

Looks like it will be hard to store, there is a reason people build racks modular, so when you get a big rack selection they take up less space. But I guess for a first try its ok.

So if each tube is only 12 inches is that center tube only supported by one inch of material? It looks noticeably taller with no support. Just asking.....

Design looks neat. I'm not sure how it would do in a blowout. Looking closely it seems like theres a 2x4 or something under the middle guns? Enjoy and make sure everyone is at least 75 feet away per inch of shell.

The center tube is just glued down. I probably won't use it. It's just for looks right now.
