Picture is from 1989. Anyone recognize the system? The mans name is Ken Clark.

That looks amazingly heavy, and not very efficient. But it also looks quite high tech for it's day.

Ken Clark was "artistic director" for "Pyrotechnology" in Boston. I found a couple articles about his work but nothing specific on the firing system except that it was a "manual switch" system. There is some interesting reading in these articles. ..especially the one from Longwood Gardens here in PA.
