You can see some of the new mods Cobra is planning to release here:

I suspect this is a link that they did not intend to keep public so may disappear at some point.

Way coooooollll.......
This is making me second guess my recent FireTek purchase . The whole reason I went with a FireTek over Cobra was the cost to do a pyromusical and the easy options for parallel rails. I priced it out for 144 main cues and buying all the Cobra modules really added up, plus the cost of the Audio Box. I'm new to all of this and I really was impressed with all the uses of the Cobra, but besides the cost there were some other features I liked with the FireTek.
Now, what catches my eye is the 72M with multiple 18S slates. Although it doesn't look like all the specs are out, it looks impressive . Now rather than 8 modules, it is 2 modules to get to 144 cues. Based on the price with the 18S parallel slats, the Cobra is now less than a dollar more expensive per cue (at least per my calculations). This is at catalog/flyer prices and that doesn't include a screaming deal I got.
For an example of what I did with just one FireTek FTH-48E module, two extra rails and some CAT5 parallel splices from ebay, check out my 4th of July video (http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/showthread.php?6065-4th-of-July-quot-Front-Yard-quot-Pyromusical-with-1-4G-items).
I realized that I would need to have multiple Cobra 18M modules and lots of scab wire to get to the same layout (I had actually sketch possible layouts with both to try to compare what I could do)

I may have to think twice before expanding my system. I am still way impressed with my FireTek system, but realize that as I get into some clubs, I may be the odd one out.

Thanks for posting that link Ed. I saw the unit at PGI. Looks very nice. Didn't have an opportunity to talk to Scott about it though. He's a very popular guy it seems!
Based on the price I saw it looks like it cuts the per cue price in half over the 18M units. That's awesome. But it also means tons of scab wire. Definitely going to have to devote some brain power to this one and see how it can be employed in the most effective manner.
