Here is an interesting video I found about chemistry sets. I know years back someone tried to market a pyro related chemistry set. I actually have video of part of it in one of my PGI videos from 2009. If someone out there ever wants to take a shot at bringing another pyro related "Chemistry Set" to market let me know. At the beginning of the video listen how the feds raided United Nuclear. This may have also been around the same time the feds came after Fire Fox for chemical sales.

My dad bought me a chemistry set back in the mid 90s, had been used... Still had a lot of the original set and chemicals in it. Some metal salts, oxidizers, and even some iron filings... Fun stuff... Got me that and gave me these two books, the kit is long since gone but I've still got the books. Lots of great experiments they won't teach in schools today. I've seen some these on Ebay for sale.A friend of mine in grade schools dog ate some of the chemicals out of his kit and it killed him.Were talking almost 40 years ago.I remember the kit was all metal and pretty cool looking.Maybe they had stronger chemicals in the kits back then.

I remember my first chemistry set in the early & mid 80s, the blue racks, test tubes, and small calendars of chemicals. Oh the great memories! I tried making comp back then at 10 years old lol. Guess its always been an inclination of mine!

I had a really nice set from back in the late 60's that I used to much enjoyment. Back in the 70's as a teen,
you could buy all the sulfur and potassium nitrate that you wanted at the local drug store.

My parents bought me a Mr. Wizard chemistry set back in the early 70's. One day when they were both working, I set the bunson burner in the sink and lit it. I stuffed a bunch of chemicals in a test tube and heated it over the burner. The thing exploded like a rocket and plastered the ceiling with chemical mush. I called my mother and said "It exploded in the kitchen but I'm okay!" Then I hung up. She was home in about 5 minutes and beat the snot out of me! All I have left is the microscope that came with it. And mental scars from the beating. Lol...
