I do have a question.....I see a lot of groups renting trucks to pick up supplies for their up coming display, why don't they buy a trailer instead? Is it just not worth the investment?

The rental trucks are usually supplied by the fireworks companies we work for. Are there people renting trucks to pick up fireworks for their own private displays?

I will rent a truck if I use 1.3 product for my own show. Saves the pain of all the DOT hassles with a placarded vehicle.

I see what you're saying Dave, but I don't think there is a supplier near me. I'm wondering if getting an approved magazine would be my best bet since I would be traveling to pick up the fireworks. Maybe pick up enough for the next two shows? I guess I need to see how others do it around here.

I wouldn't be working for a fireworks company. The sponsoring group would go through me and I would have to get with a company to purchase the fireworks.

It all sounds like some kind of work around. I suggest instead of starting on Step C being concerned with a type of vehicle to use. Concentrate on Step A and purse the license to purchase first.

Last year was the 40th anniversary for the club & we had a great show planned--but the weather--rain & a field of muddddd- didn't let it happen, so--that show will be shot this year--along with a bunch of other "stuff".

Correction. Cjs at Culpepper is Oct 6 AND 7. THAT'S A FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
