I'm just getting ready to head out the door and thought I would post a short video from 5:15 pm. I am invited to an ATF license holder shooting a small display for a fireman festival just outside of Pittsburgh.

I was going to say that the clarity & definition on the lance work sign was incredible--then I saw the next picture ---not lance!! Rope lights [12 volt type] maybe???

This outlines shooting with no experience, let's hold the leader while I light it.

First he is running? No PPE? No long sleeves, no Hard hat, hearing protection? How not to do a show?

You read too much into the picture. This was a shell in the finale that did not fire. It was fired a short time after the show once it was discovered. I can't speak for him but I think once he took off all of his protective garb on this humid night he probably did not want to put it all back on for one shell. It may all make more sense once the video is posted. Is holding a fuse always wrong? I don't know.
On a side note, everyone is free to criticize the pictures and videos I guess. However, I want you all to know, you are all free to invite me to come video your displays at any time. I live near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and will be happy to make a reasonable drive for some video. Everyone is also free to have a friend of family member get a camcorder and follow your display from start to finish. Then post the video on the forums. I would enjoy viewing them. When I see other people post videos I never see the detail, only fireworks in the air. I would enjoy seeing other people post the style of videos I post.

You may be correct there, considering I have not seen the entire video. I do appreciate when you post videos of shoots. As you said it is a perspective not many get a chance to see.

Dave,Were these fireworks bought from one of your sponsors?.And if so who. That was a hell of a show for $1900.00 dollars

He told me the fireworks were purchased most from XFX Pyro and also Kellners. This is an example of what that kind of money gets you in the 1.3 line of products. I believe I videoed it all in the daytime shots, I edited out a major part of the night display. Having the ATF license allows you to make these types of purchases. Of course you are going to need some racks to shot that large volume of shells. A few of my advertisers will either let you use or rent racks.

A great little display, I was impressed! I don't know shy, it some people think fireworks have to be expensive to be good or that they could never afford 1.3. This certainly shows the value in upgrading to a type 54 if you are going to spend $2k anyway.
