Should I remove all batteries from my remote and mods?

I always remove them if they are going to be in storage very long.

I pull them and load test them.

I remove my batteries before I store them. I clean the cases with a cheap paint brush and some Simple Green.
DJSMURF, how do you load test them? I am guessing the carbon pile I use for truck batteries is not the way. And what is the standard for the 14 volt li-po?

I e-mailed Scott and asked that very question. He told me it's perfectly safe to keep the batteries connected and in the mods, although many people choose to disconnect and/or remove them.
I think removing the AA's from the R2 is a no brainer though.

Yeah, I need the AA for my x-box controller.

If you remove the P2 batteries tape them in pairs.

Good tip from Northern Sky. Would you be so kind to explain the rationale for your recommendation for those new to the inner workings of the Cobra system.
