Found this on Facebook.... They built half of a shell against a sheet of glass. Then recorded it as it went off with a slow motion camera.... Interesting idea

That is Ben from Michigan. I just saw that video yesterday. He has fireworks manufacturing license. He used to be just pyrotechnics then he went into other areas and his YouTube channel took off.

Thanks for posting this. Bill Ofca once showed me a video of a shell exiting a glass mortar, in super slo-mo, just as fascinating as this. I've searched the net with no luck, wanting to post it here, but couldn't be found. Anyone else ever see it?

I was looking at some acrylic tubes, clear and rated for 200p.s.i., they would only fit small ball shells... And i fear the inside of the tube would be really jacked up after a couple shots.... Maybe I'll try to find a larger size... Like 2"ID...

Pretty neat video! I love stuff like that. I'll have to check out his Youtube channel.
