Black Powder Substitute

I am throwing this out there for responses. Please send me a response by Private Message.
I have been approached from someone outside of United States looking to market a fireworks black powder substitute. The product is different from the "Golden Powder" invented by Earl Kurtz. They want me to make that clear. This is a fireworks related powder that differs from Pyrodex and that sort of smokeless powder. The question is, outside of the usual USA based black powder manufacturers like Goex. Who in United States is still making their own black powder for fireworks related products. Drop me a PM. Thanks

I just can't see to find anyone interested in this black powder substitute. I'll throw a little more information out there. The country of origin is Germany. They tell me they are currently using it for lift and burst. Here is video and pictures.

Explosive and Propellant Powder


Following is a brief description of the newly invented substitute for Black Powder (BP) and other pyrotechnical formulations.

The invented powder has a number of advantages if compared to BP.
By its appearance the new Powder consists of small to medium size grains of white to slightly yellow colour without any odour.

The manufacturing of the powder is done in a simple one-step process in which all ingredients are dissolved in water and this solution is heated while being stirred to evaporate the water. Depending on heat the product crystallizes in 2 – 3 hours and is ready for use.

The main advantage of this powder is the high safety aspect while maintaining very good explosive properties.

Advantages:

- Powder cannot be ignited by flame, sparks or other sources of heat
- No ignition or explosion upon impact or friction
- Does not contain Sulphur or Chlorine/Chlorates and metals of any kind
- Unlimited shelf life
- Safe handling and transportation
- Short production time
- Little or no dust during production and handling

The new powder can only react under confinement which means the powder must be enclosed to ignite. Thus the powder is used in fire crackers, cakes, burst- and lift charges just like BP.
As an ignition source simple fuses or electrical igniters can be used.

With regards to China or India the above described powder would be ideal for production in hot climates or where safety generally is an important issue. To give an example:
If powder, accidentally spilled on the floor, gets into contact with flame, burning cigarettes or static electricity etc. no reaction will take place – the new powder does not ignite.
Even if indoor temperature in manufacturing units will be as high as 80°C, production will not be impaired. The powder itself will not change or decompose even if temperature will rise > 120°C.
This means that even under difficult climatic or other bad working conditions, production and handling of the new powder can safely continue without fear for loss of life and money.
There will be no need to shut down production because of safety concerns.

The absence of sulphur or metals as mentioned above is another advantage. No metal oxides or sulphur dioxide emissions will pollute the air during fireworks displays.

Dear Friends:

O myself patented a good Black Powder substitute, advantages:
* no sulphur, less smell of fumes,
* less residues and less corrosive residues in muzzle loader firearms (still used by lovers of them),
* a short yellow flash instead of typical spark "mushroom" on the muzzle of launching tube (mortar), when you fire a display shell (sometimes those sparks may cause accidental ignition of other pieces of your display).
* about 30 % more power,
* manufacture may be done simply mixing the chemicals and afterwards granulation by simple extrusion: quite less expensive than the traditional way of Black Powder making.
* contains charcoal and looks like common Black Powder,
* senibility almost the same like Black Powder.
