Any of you guys going to be going up to the Lynch compound for demo night in April? Just curious as I will be making the drive with my wife and it would be cool to meet some of you guys there if you were going.

At Bazerk, I don't know, I keep checking the mail for the renewal check for the next contract period from Lynch and I have not received it yet. LOL, I did get a verbal conformation from Dennis Lynch they will continue to be part of pyrotalk. As it stands today I do plan on going to the Lynch Imports 1.3 demo. I know you mentioned you were coming up from Florida, I am looking forward to meeting you and everyone else I can meet at the event. I always thought the Lynch 1.3 selection was a good fit for the advanced 1.3 licensed hobbyist. If the 1.3 distributors that advertise with me ask me for recommendations. I tell them sell more 1.3 , 1.75'' and 2'' shells particularly the canister shell salutes. Also smaller 1.3 cakes that come 24/1 12/1, 8/1, and 6/1. Lynch Imports currently sells all of these. Although I am still waiting for a good 1.3 small 5 to 8 shot salute candle. I mean a good one. There are currently some out there but as a mismarked consumer candle. LOL

Are they open for business as well on the day of the demo? Just curious if you can browse their selection or make a purchase throughout the day if you so choose to...

It is best to contact Lynch for more details. The usual procedure is first off scan and/or fax a copy of your ATF license to them. If you want something you better order it now. As with most 1.3 purchase they require advance notice of at least 48 hours. They usually run appointment times for pick ups on demo day. My guess is nothing will be on visual display. I'll be there, I am looking to meet as many people as I can from the pyrotalk forums and my youtube videos. This is everyone's chance to be in one of my videos. Did I help you get an ATF license or teach you something? Tell us something about what you are doing in pyrotechnics. Please remember I do not know what most people look like so please feel free to approach me and introduce yourself. I am excited to meet everyone and looking forward to Saturday. I believe the demo is going to be right on the main property correct?

Glad to finally meet you Dave at the Lynch demo. The man, the myth, the legend. Alright thats enough to puff up ur ego:cool: I know you were surprised to meet 7-8 or more people at the demo that got their ATF thru you and follow you on PyroTalk and you tube videos. I hope your letting me film your interviews with some of the people came out ok. I was surprised how small the camcorder was that you filmed with and the quality of the video shown on my home computer. It was great to sit with you the better part of an hour and talk fireworks , shoots and set ups. Hope I did not take up too much of your time. I know you were busy with PyroTalk filming and meeting everyone. Looking forward to meet at future demo's.

Your kind comments have earned you a video of our meet. It was great for me to meet people from the forums and those that I helped get licensed over the years. It pleases me to see everyone advancing into pyrotechnics. I'll get the video from the event up soon.

That third video was scary. I had no idea that was possible! Every video I've seen of shells loaded upside down have either severely damaged the rack or outright destroyed them. Did that rack escape unscathed? Looked like some splinters flying in the video. Was there so much pressure expanding inside the mortar, that it got bottlenecked? The pressure on the other side of the bottleneck couldn't get out so it built up under the shell and there was just enough to jettison it?

There was almost no damage done to the rack. As you see in the video, a couple small splinters did break free, but that was it. This was a very interesting situation and yes, there was just enough down force on the shell from the lift that it made it hop back up in the tube. Maybe it wasnt seated all the way down in the tube to begin with. I was glad they allowed me to take video of these demonstrations.

I just released these videos on my YouTube channel last night.
.
Here is my meet and greet with some of the ATF licensed people that purchased my video application package. It was great meeting all the people at the event. Lynch has some great product. I love the building and how he has the proper set up. Lynch Imports has been one of my advertisers from the beginning. I am glad to have them as part of pyrotalk.com. I always feel productive when I meet people I inspired to advance into pyrotechnics.
