I feel a case of 2.5 inch salutes are a great value.

Like Dave said above---the 2 1/2" salutes are a great value--the 3" is definitely better as far as available effects go. Most of the 2 1/2" shells that aren't salutes are peoneys--it is hard to get a star that will burn for any length of time in a small casing, so you won't see willows, etc--brocades burn out as soon as they open.
There is a large variety of effects in 3".
Another consideration is distance---there may be some venues that you just don't have the room for the 3" legally--so it reverts to a mostly cake show with 2 /12" salutes for a finale....
when you put 100 3" Ti Salutes in the air at the same time compared to 100 2 1/2" Ti Salutes--the average person will not notice any difference.
Combined they are great--two levels of thump. Just my humble opinion.....

I will echo what Joe said, you have a lot more availability of effects in 3" than you do in 2.5. 2.5 are better when on a budget or safe distances are an issue. However, all 2.5s are not created equally. Check out our demo on 5/20 and you will see (shameful plug lol).
