Here is what I shot off for New Years. It is a little small and short, but great for where I live.

I wired it all up using green visco, perfect and fast fuse.

This is not my first show, but I believe it is my best one. It was timed perfectly. Minus it being in the middle of a street and residential area, my neighbors and myself thought it was great. This was the first time I used my AlphaFire 4 firing system with a Talon igniter. I should have used tape to secure my igniter to my fuse since it ended up falling off the fuse. Lesson learned.

Here is the link to the video.

Great show. I like the layering effect with the cakes and shells complimenting each other. Btw, how'd those zip ties hold up for ya?

Very nice show!! I hope you're still friends with your neighbors.

Interesting way you fused your tubes. Can you tell me how you made those connections? As best I can tell you just tied a knot around the main fuse line with the fuse from the mortar, then put a zip-tie over it. at least that's what it looks like to me. Am I close?

What shells did you shoot off? Those little 200g cakes just can't compare, but they go well with them.

That fuse in the last picture looks like abdominal sutures. LOL The show looked great. Thank you for posting pictures of the setup. I really enjoy seeing the daytime setup pictures of displays. We all learn a lot from them. When I look at the pictures, it reminds me of my friend Scott, from Fireworks on the Farm. He liked using the long fuse and zip ties. If there is such as a thing as a fireworks enthusiast continuum, you are one step away from a Cobra Fireworks Firing System and a ATF license.
An Optometrist once told me, when people run out of arm, they get bifocals. I like to say, when your fuse is long than your arm you need a high end fireworks firing system. Are fireworks legal to shoot without a permit at your location?

Dave, thank you for your response. I am ready to move up to the Cobra system but I missed the Black Friday sale. I think I will wait for next years Black Friday sale and a system them. I have your DVD and ATF paperwork, but I am a little hesitant to apply in Colorado because this state is so firework unfriendly. I fear that getting a shooting permit would be almost impossible.

I enjoy wiring everything up with long fuses and using zip ties. They are just very time consuming to wire up that way. No, fireworks that leave the ground higher than 10 feet are illegal in all of Colorado. Usually my neighbors are very accommodating for when I shoot in the neighborhood. Even a state trooper that lives a block away from me, comes and watches when he is home.

The shells where a mix of ball and canister. There was only 30 60g shells though. I think the timing was perfect with the 200g cakes and shells.

Thanks Rick! I like using the zip ties with my fusing. Its just a slow process to fuse everything together. All I do is I wrap the fuse from the cake/shell around the lead fuse at least one whole time and then zip tie it at the end of the fireworks fuse so it stays wrapped around the lead fuse. With shells, there is usually enough fuse to wrap around the lead fuse a couple of times then to come back and just make a nice little knot and then zip tie. I hope that makes sense. This show there was only 1 shell that did not go off.

The zip ties hold up really nice. I only had 1 shell that did not go off out of 113 plus all of the cakes.

Very interesting. One failure to fire out of 113 isn't bad at all. Thanks for sharing!!
