It is going to help if you can tell us what large city you are located near in Texas. I am actually having an issue with the way the ATF is handling new Type 54 applications in Texas. Soon I hope to summarize some of it in a future posting. Are you primarily interested in Consumer Fireworks?

I will be looking forward to that post! I have your DVD package and I am waiting on a magazine to be built/delivered before I submit my application.

I'll touch on it briefly, the ATF in Texas came up with a new trick if you refuse to sign to withdraw the application. I believe I just temporarily stopped it for this occurrence. My next move is to prevent it from occurring again. Surprisingly a state as large as Texas has less than 60 ATF fireworks license holders. While they are use to seeing a zillion gun suppressor applications, pyrotechnic hobbyist are something new and different to them. Its the same issues we had in Ohio and New York State. We solved it in those states and now its Texas turn. I should have more information in the next 30 days.

Fellow Texan. We moved south of Fort Worth, between Mansfield and Burleson two years ago. Our Fourth of July with family and friends is getting progressively bigger. We're outside city limits and use common sense, so I haven't looked too much into legal info.

Nice. Dallas has better opportunities to get your hands on some 1.3 fireworks once you get your license. Look into Dave's atf license package. I highly suggest

Thanks for the warm welcome mat. So I'm trying to move towards getting a Texas pyro license. From what I understand, there is a state test taken from nfpa1123 (1995 edition) and u have to be involved with 5 permitted displays a year to acquire license. Is that correct?
