This is video from my annual fireworks display at the Collier Sportsman Association. This year with the help of xfxpyro.com and the FireTEK Fireworks Firing System we shot a pyro-musical. It was great test for the FireTEK , the show was over 700 plus ques. If you re in United States and interested in purchasing a FireTEK , please contact XFXpyro.com for more information. Special thanks to everyone that came to help with the setup.

I posted this statement before, there are three or four high end fireworks firing systems advertising with me. I keep trying to post as much information as I can about all of them. I do that as opportunities arise. If you or anyone is interested in the FireTEK I am recommending xfxpyro.com here in United States. xfxpyro designed and shot the display in my video, they sell the system and they know the system. I misspoke on a few point of the system in the video. One is on the compact model with the rails attached to the side of the module. You can use both attached side rail plus any connect via ethernet cable in the back. If anyone has any questions please post them I am sure Laurian from FireTEK will eventually come along and answer them.

great show wish i could have made it. 2 questions is the slats on the side a custom option and do you still need a cat cable to connect it?

The slats on the sides are custom option and it cost $50. You don;t need a cable to connect them... are connected internal. Also all 4 slats, including the ones from the case, are available via UTP cable.

Question, so could the show be started from the remote at the dj station? or did you have to start it at the table?

Universal I spoke to Ralph at xpx earlier today in reference to these system. Your question was one of the specific ones I had as well and he stated that you absolutely could start the show ( or manual fire if you choose) from the remote that is also acting as audio box or you can use two different remotes, remote and laptop, remote and Bluetooth, basically any combo you want. These remotes can be mastered and slaves to each other just like the modules can.

I would also share how truly knowledgeable, helpful, and patient Ralph from XPX was today. Awesome to work with. He is gathering and sending me some more info needed so that I can try and organize a group buy and save some money on these systems.

Sorry, Didn't mean to be rude, was just wondering around what a show of that magnatude would cost to shoot.

On another note: Something I realized today, the FireTEK slats are 12 cue and are being fed by a cat 5/6 cable. Cat 5/6 cable has 4 pairs of wires or 8 wires. I asked fireTEK how they fire 12 cues with 8 wires and they said they multiplex. So with that said that means that you can only fire one cue at a time on their 12 cue slats and there's no way you can fire all 12 at the same time.

This may not be a big deal to most, just sharing info. The COBRA CAN fire more than one cue at the same time.

On a single fireTEK module you can fire from the same rail 2 pins (on all 4 rails you can fire 8 pins) exactly in the same time but normally you will never want/need to fire like this because: you can connect in series or in parallel igniters you want to fire in the same time because are in the same location -> you will save independent pins in this way. More of that you can easy and cheap split the rails if you need to fire same rails from different locations -> more pin saved. You must consider the limitation it is only apply on the same module... you can fire any cues in the same time from different modules.

Also the fireTEK can fire all 48 channels in about 60ms (6 pulses when fire 8 channels in the same time of 10ms). Cobra right now it has 100ms step which means fireTEK module can fire in less time than one Cobra step all 48 channels. I do not know if Cobra can fire multiple channels in the same time but you must consider how many igniters can Cobra fire connected in parallel because firing multiple cues form the same module in the same time means firing more igniters connected in parallel and the maximum for Cobra are 4 igniters with 9V battery, 8 with Lipo and 12 with external power which means Cobra can not fire more than 12 channels in the same time from the same module. Anyway, as I told you from beginning you will not need to do that even if you will buy Cobra or fireTEK.

That's a good point, thanks for the reply.
