Do not waste your money on the 5" mag. Salutes from mexico, they are a huge waste of money. Been there!!!!

The Mexicans have no idea how to make flash. Nice people poor product. Even their big shells have no brake sound to them.

I did not think they were as loud as the ones made at Little Big Shots. The Mexican ones had titanium in them. The also did not feel as heavy as the one from Little Big Shots. Some people feel the titanium takes away from the sound of the report and I tend to agree. I personally prefer salutes with out Titanium. It is hard to find regular salutes sometimes. The upside of the Mexican ones will be they are cheaper to purchase.

I remember Fire Art used to sell these great dark salutes that were imported from India. Those really sounded great and no titanium. I may one on video somewhere. Maybe down the road I will try to find it.

Pay the $35.00 and you will have something worth buying and shooting. I felt completely ripped off buying the 5" mexican salutes from Bob.

Sorry for ranting about the Mexican product line, the shoot itself looked fantastic and I would have loved to be there. Living on that hillside watching that shoot must of been incredible!

We had lots of fun at the shoot. Thanks SO MUCH to Dave for coming out and filming the whole set up and show. We had a couple of issues (as with most pyro displays). You can see the IVW cakes we put in the finale didn't exactly flow quickly betewwn the I, V, and W. We also had one fail to pass fire to the 120 shot salute screen on the false finale... John can be seen lighting the salute screen and heading for the hills once it started haha. All in all, we were happy with the show. Thanks for your support and all your time and effort Dave.

matt thats a piece price / case price is 8pcs @ 22.75 each but to be honest the 4" hits just as hard if not harder @ 6.50 per and is the better buy the 4" falling leaves are another item that lacks basic display is similiar to a horsetail. Value is in crossettes or color shells for the money.

I hope that someday Kellners put quality and pride back into their product line instead of profits being the only goal. You can only sell junk for so long before it comes back and bites you in the !!s.

Yeah, I shot some of the 3" mexican salutes recently and wasn't impressed with them. You can buy 3s that I think sound better than that 4 and they are cheaper.

Also the mexican 5 at $22.75 is apples to oranges to the 5" ultra they used to sell. The ultra is almost twice as long.

That was a great video. Thanks, Dave, for another detailed setup video. Would have loved to have been there--you can never have too many salutes!!! Will have to look into the fast fuse you were using--from what I see it has three strands in it compared to two strands in the stuff that has been on the market recently. Good job, guys!!!

yep I agree with you matt, Albert's 5" salute purchased from him and not from kellner's are actually less money than what kellner sold them at and are way better. And if you really want to get into a topic lets discuss 1.3 cakes, seems bob dont work to bring in product for companies or pros as much as catering to the black market with small 1.3. many of which have exploded or not transfered ignition from cake to cake. Though I have to admit he does have variety though usually sold out of the good product early.

Yeah they worked out the issues with the 1st batch they brought in a few years ago. The 1000's of shells I saw this year and last performed well.

Nice! Really liked the falling leaves and the shells with the rising effects... Also a big fan of those cakes with the comets that go shooting off in all directions (not really sure what the "proper" name for those are). Very nice. ^.^
