1.4 Lance work/set piece?

Was curious if anyone knew a way to make lance work or a set piece from 1.4 consumer product. I know ( at least I think I know) that true lances are 1.3 items but was wondering if anyone knew of any products that could be used to make one ? I have access to both quick match and the dominator pro line, gerbs maybe? Some tiny fountain taken apart? What's the answer guys ? Want to make something for upcoming family reunion shoot.

If you don't need color the "indoor birthday cake sparklers" work well--they do give out a spray of sparks instead of a color burn--but can do a good job. Easy to ignite with sticky matcf, quick match, or regular pink or yellow fast fuse.
