Once you see they cash your check, give them time to get you into the system. Sit back and wait they will call you. Remember they have 90 days to get this done although they do it much sooner. There is a definite increase in those applying for the ATF license , I would imagine they are busy. And if you look at it from their perspective, it is of a non-urgent matter.

I know. I'm just excited to get it. There is a club that shoots in Indiana and Michigan having an open shoot the weekend of the 23rd of September and I'd like to have it to shoot some 1.3 goodies there!!!

Mailed app 7/29
Funds taken 8/9
Call for interview 8/26
Interview 8/29 (wish me luck!!!)

Indiana here, it took me several weeks here but eventually the interview came, several more weeks passed and I received the "golden ticket" in the mail. Try to keep your sanity, don't "pester" and if you do be professional about it.

I didn't have a phone interview. I had an in person interview and was told everything was good to go and he'd sent it over to the licensing office
