This is the aftermath of shooting in 20 MPh winds on the beach. These systems were 3 feet away from any cake..... lol the flames were burning sideways

How close did you have the cakes to the modules?

This may be commonly occurring. This is probably why Cobra came out with that protective shield. Here is where the FireTek has the advantage because you are only placing a slat and Ethernet cable next to the product and your most expensive part of the system is a safe distance away from the flames of the product.

Ha ha ha. I was like **** it. There is still 2500 bucks in product that is still about to go off. I'm not going over there to stomp this system out

That is brutal!
Couple of points... know you are in a remote location with limited access to running water so would consider making sure you use the longest lead talons or ematch you can get to maximize the distance from the cakes. I use the 5 meter talons and the 10ft ematch. Also I typically use small tables for the mods to get them off the ground, that may reduce the risk.
Finally slats would allow you to keep some distance from the cakes if you dont want to scab wire them.
For those not in the Texas area, the conditions were bad that night with the wind all over South East TX and I can see why this happened. I had more than my usually cakes catch on fire during my show.... spent a lot of time putting them out with a hose during the show to avoid it getting out of control.

Holy smokes... That's insane. That show got expensive real quick! Glad to see the case saved at least one unit for you.
