Firing wire

I'm going to use some firing wire this year to really space things out. I'm using consumer firing modules, and I'm wondering at what length will the resistance be too much? Is 40-50 feet out of the question?

I ran some cheap china made modules to talons on about 45ft of shooting wire a few years back with no issues, had fresh batteries in the mods.

Of not you could probably base your systems capability on the power supply of the firing module. Also higher guage wire would have less resistance as well...

There are different gauge firing wire--20, 22, 24,26. Most of what you see for sale is either 22 or 24 gauge. Either one will work for you at that short length with no issue. Ignitors require more current to make them "pop" than an ematch, but you will be fine. If you need to space things out farther, you can use 18 gauge zip cord from your module to your ignitors--you can easilly go 75 feet with no issues.
