Hey. Hope everyone is doing great. Just wondering if we could get a thread going for 2016 stash pictures. I started ordering mine towards the end of last year, still have a lot to get though. I think it would be cool to maybe keep this thread going on up to the 4th and watch how everyones shows progress. Anyway post if you want. If we get some interest I'll post mine too. :cool:

I was on a super small budget last year for the 4th. I got a case of chaotic. Loved it for the price. My yard is a little narrow for fan cakes so I didn't get it this year but highly recommend.

Placed the order last week. Won't be in till mid may. (Waiting for the good stuff) I think it's about 57 cases, mostly cakes, 4 cases of smoke n mirrors. I ordered everything from spirit of 76, I get a better price from these guys compared to anyone else,INCLUDING shipping.... heck, I can order from bigs and pick it up an hour from my house but nobody can beat so76 prices or customer service. Anyway, I think I ordered a case of every good fan cake they sell and most every pro line cakes. I will post a stash video when I get it in and broken down.

You got Vegas lights?! Wow... I couldn't get that cake this year, and I order from their sister company! They're even out of the High Steppers! (Awesome cake!!) I sent my list in and the gal told me they didn't have 75% of what I ordered, and they didn't expect it to come in! And I ordered mine in March!!

I was able to get 5 cases of the Power 14's. I love the Glitter & Doom cake. 5 of those are going to start the finale board this year along with La Dolce Vita.

Time snuck up on me last year and we ended up having to hustle during the final hours to get everything ready in time. Not this year...we're headed up a week early to allow plenty of prep time. In the meantime, I'm just taking my time looking at layout possibilities. It's all part of the fun!

Watch the video outside of the forums because you need to make as large as your screen to properly view it. The best way to post pictures on pyrotalk forums to have them posted elsewhere then link them in to your post. Uploading pictures using the forums software is not the best way. We head up to middle TN for our show, so no early setup for me. Luckily, we'll arrive almost a week early to allow for plenty of leisurely preparation on site. In the meantime, I'm just obsessing over research and layout. :)

Lol... Obsessing is exactly the right word! I spend days and days pouring over videos just to decide what to buy. Then I spend more time pouring over the videos of what I bought to decide what order the cakes should be in for the show. Then I do a dry fit to see what I can fit on a 2' x 8' board, and I write the burn time on top of each cake (as well as document all of this in an Excel spreadsheet!) so I can determine which type of fuse I'm going to need for each board. Then I have an inventory of "fuse on hand" so I know how much and which type I still need to order. Then there's the actual time spent building and fusing the boards. It's insane to spend probably hundreds of hours obsessing and planning for a one hour show. But I love it!!

And you're right!! It's hot as balls in Tampa now. I think it was 80F at 3am this past Saturday when I went out to build a few more boards. It's insane and only going to get worse!

I'm sure you have done this but can't tell from the pictures but make sure you cover every inch of fuse on that board with some kind of tape or something or your gonna have one heck of a finale board!
I wouldn't suggest masking tape though. That catches fire pretty easily. Yeah, I learned the hard way years ago. :D

Great call! Yes, I will be placing foil over top of all the mortar crates and especially the fan rack since it has 1/4 sec per ft paper fuse. I don't need that going off until I hit the last button on the remote!! I used Dave's "magic tape" this year for everything. Including the 6 main boards. Don't need any errant sparks igniting the finale!

Picked up my stash from Nite Lites Saturday 6/18. When I got there I was disappointed to find out that ATF put a hold on Megabanger professional 5" and Exterminators. No problem though was able to get suggested replacements from one of the workers. Everything was by the case which is good for the price but bad for variety.

They got them in Tuesday when I got there Saturday they told me that pro 5" was put on hold by the atf that they cannot sell them they could be fined if they did I had exterminators last year so I asked for it they where also on hold they said I could wait for the hold to be lifted but its a 3 hour drive for me so went with there suggestions

Yay! I did some research beforehand, so I like to think it'll all turn out beautifully. And as far as Rebellion? Stumbled across a video and was blown away..immediately ordered. I had the same thing. Actually Eddie stated that the 5 inch Pro shells and exterminators were being held for further inspection/approval by the CPSC. Release/shipment would not happen until after the 4 of j. PBP

Thanks! I've worked a handful of 1.3 shows the past ~8 years so I'm well aware with how to fuse and all that fun stuff. I'm just planning on hand lighting it all, and appreciating each one. Next year I want to go a lot bigger.... Cobra, participating in group buys, all of that. PGI will be pretty close to me this year, and I've heard they sell some pretty cool stuff in their vending area.

My friend does a bunch of woodworking and apparently is making some kind of sander with them. I had to ask him myself what those were, I thought for a moment he was hiding some big shells. ;)

Yeah, I call it the pyro porcupine, will hold 156 rockets, fuse rail so its easy set up, angle adjustments and a little spot for a firing mod-I do have too much time on my hands LOL:cool:

I have the MS23Q+ system I am currently using. I shoot at least 2-3 cakes off of each QUE. Right now it works well. I am hoping to get the Cobra one day. I also purchased a cheap 12Q system with 4Qs on each module in order to help space out the cakes a little bit. First time having "Stations" to fire multiples of the same cake. Although I am a little nervous right now as I am learning the state of Michigan where I am going to shoot, the fire marshall is considering banning all fireworks because of how dry conditions are. I just posted a thread about it to try an get some more feedback.

Sounds like quite the setup! I'm using a cheap 12 cue system this year for the first time. Nothing so advanced as firing multiple cakes off the same cue. If I don't get arrested this year, maybe I'll expand a bit and try to get creative like that next year. I'd love to set up stages and have multiple cakes going at the same time. We'll see.

I saw your post about the potential ban. That would suck. I hope it doesn't happen. I know first hand how much effort goes into these shows. It would be a shame to have it all cancelled at the last minute. I'd love to do a rain dance for you but, considering my show almost got rained out last year, I'm hesitant to do anything that involves inviting more rain! Right now they're calling for a 20% chance on the 4th here, so... I'm keeping my fingers crossed the other 80% hits you!
