I am going to tell right now. There are more stories about these Rooster firecrackers than you can shake a stick at. And no the second batch in following years was not as good as the first batch. Thechemist45 I am sure will tell you the story. I saw these once on a table at the PGI convention and thought they were way overpriced. But of course they are legend. LOL

I have some of those triangle type crackers. Not those exact ones but the triangle style. They are nice and surprisingly loud, especially if you place them on a hard surface. And I have a butt-load of those bird egg ones but as stated in another post, gotta watch out for that flying plastic piece. lol

i love the black roosters. all versions of them .

...there was more than 2 batches of black roosters. most people never saw the original batch from 1998. less than 100 cases were brought in with the first batch. the most common batch is from red rhino, that was at least the third batch. then one batch had saw dust in the flash, which was the bad version.

I need to find some crackers from the 60's.....Simply to experience them once again. ;)
