West Virginia Bill to Legalize Consumer Fireworks
Here we go again folks. If you recall, last year WV legislature failed to pass a bill to legalize consumer fireworks due to a TYPO at the last minute. There is over-whelming support among representatives as well as the governor. The only thing that can hold this back from happening is another dose of political hostage taking (where they hold back a good bill until the last minute in order to attach all the crap they couldn't get passed separately earlier in session).

Bills introduced on 1/13/16 at the opening of session which call for legalization are:

watch sb 328 came out commttie friday feb 5- 16 goes tues for another vote .then sen for vote then house for vote
why things work here everything has to be voted on 2 times. the house had a clean bill until the senate got then they try to load it wth junk and the house turned it down last year. hope it passes this year.

It's interesting how these bills have the "issues" they have. Last year Ohio had Senate Bill 386 that passed then didn't pass because they adjourned the meeting to early. Hope to see the West Virginia bill pass without issue.

Yeah it seems to be some stupid little things lately that stop these bills from going through. Good luck to everyone hopefully they pass.

yes 33 -0 vote now if they can get out with out amendments i contacted the house chair. on to get to pass with out amendments.

Well, it has been a long road but HB2852 legalizing all consumer fireworks in the state of WV has passed both chambers and it on its way to the Governor's office. One thing to note is the bill doesn't go into effect until June 1st of this year which kind of sucks since Memorial Day is always a nice time to light some works, but it's better than nothing for sure. So after June 1st, let's get out there, buy a lot of fireworks, and support WV's veterans! The Governor has five days to sign it, but even if he doesn't I think there is time for Senate to overrule a veto. Congrats to all you mountaineers, light it up this Fourth.

You can get law makers wholesale at WTFBOMB-Be careful though-I've gotten a few duds and once they forgot to poke holes in the box so I had to return them LOL.:rolleyes:
