Dude. Gumbo. If you're going to Fire Art (which you totally should) you should go the long way and bring some to Lynch Imports too! Also a couple muffuletta from Central Grocery would be great. Will trade for fireworks :)

I just ate some "Hoppin John" last night. LOL Pick it up at your local Walmart this time of year. Traditionally a New Years Eve treat for prosperity in the coming year. Although if you eat it the next day the name of the dish is changed to "Skippin Jenny". Good stuff, maybe we all should go to Louisiana instead of him coming here.

Dave--you HAD to mention Muffuletta from Central Grocery? Really??? Man, I am in foodie overload remembering the last time I had one[many years ago, unfortunately].

Sorry it's taken so long to respond fellas. I live in Lafayette, La. I was born and raised on the west bank of New Orleans, but moved this way after Katrina.

But yes, I've seen several foods mentioned, we are definitely blessed to have, IMO, the best food in the world down here. Not many people will argue against that, lol
