Hardwood plugs vs the standard plugs

Do you need to spend the extra money on the hardwood plugs, or are the standard ones that are 1 1/2 thick fine? would like some advice before purchasing plugs. was going to submit an order form to Midwest wood supply but seen they sold both and figured I better ask first. thanks

Never mind the lady at Midwest supply was most helpful. I was gonna go cheap and buy the 1 and 1/2 plugs but she changed my mind quickly.
