San Rocco Raw Video

If you have been following my videos I am sure you remember the San Rocco Festival in Aliquippa. I stopped by today to say hello to my friend Ron setting up the Saturday night fireworks. The plan for me is to meet up with him tomorrow in the AM as the procession marches through the streets of Aliquippa Pennsylvania. He will be ahead of the procession lighting salutes as the procession moves through the neighborhood. I missed this last year and want to be sure I can get it on video this year. If all goes as planned I will be back that night for the Italian Baby Doll Dance.

Also, this year we are excited and honored to have very special guests traveling from Italy to celebrate our 90th year of the Festa di San Rocco. The Licinio Refice Band from Patrica, Italy will be traveling to commemorate the celebrations. This is a historical event for our area, it is the first time in 90 years they will be making the trip to celebrate with us here. All are welcome to meet and give them an outstanding benvenuto!

That baby doll dance is one strange tradition. Can't go wrong with the Italian sausage sandwich. Yummy!

That's a very interesting festival. Must have been pretty cool riding in the back of a pickup truck shooting some salutes.
