I apologize, I see it is near the border between Nebraska and Iowa. Maybe they build casinos like fireworks stores near the border of a neighboring state that does not allow gambling. LOL Then you sign a paper that says you will take your winning out of the state within 48 hours. LOL

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) – Two people are in jail, accused of running an illegal fireworks manufacturing facility following a search at a Council Bluffs mobile home community.

Council Bluffs fire investigators say 55 year-old Craig Woodward and 22 year-old Katelyn Reynolds were arrested Monday evening, charged with manufacturing fireworks without a license.

Police said a tip led to a search warrant at two addresses near 12th Avenue and South 32nd Street. Lieutenant Keith Jones said investigators found hundreds of illegally produced fireworks inside a garage.

“We determined that it's not bomb making materials, so that's why we've kept [the perimeter] pretty loose. We want to make sure we move it safely and that's why we have all the trucks here,” Jones said.

Police also searched a mobile home next door to the garage operation.

Amy Cisneros arrived home to the search. Her family lives just feet from the garage authorities discovered the materials in. Cisneros’ worried about her children who were home during the commotion.

“This is where we live. This is our neighborhood. And that could all be gone in a second,” Cisneros said, “Especially because we're so close down here. It's probably 20 feet from my house to that garage. And my kids are home.”

Jones said the operation was manufacturing small grade fireworks. The crime charges Woodward and Reynolds with felony charges. Officers took the pair’s clothes as evidence.

“It's hard to know that your neighbors may not be good people,” said Cisneros. “There's some who have been down here for years. And we do know each other and trust each other. But you get the new ones that come in and you just don't know.”

Police believed the garage was a work and storage space for a mobile home community on the block.

Wow come on people. I mean really this kind crap is getting ridiculous. My opinion do it the legal way, these type of people are the ones that are screwing it up for the rest of us.

My speculation is law enforcement will reverse engineer events like I am doing and look for other fireworks people in the area and put all of this together when they make a case.
