I love that title "Fireworks Commissioner".
As far as I can tell this is out of location near Reno Nevada. Apparently the local government is at least allowing a area where shooting of fireworks can be supervised. It would be interesting to see the public response to this.

I lived in Nevada in the 80's [Pahrump] and trust me there are tons of areas where you can shoot to your hearts content. It was the one highlights to living there. In hind sight it was good when the tool shop I worked at closed up after 5 years. The dust, heat were not to my liking. Here in PA we have rural, semi-rural areas, there you can add remote to the list.
