This year I am using Ematch in the July show since I can get it now.
Was going to replace fuse in the cake with ematch for a better presentation and instant cake.
Problem is I cant seem to find a tool to work with making the whole decent to get the ematch in with shroud.
Any ideas?

Get an awl....almost looks like an ice pick....just go into lowes or whatever and ask someone if you can't find it

Non sparking metal tool is the safety key here. I use an aluminum roof gutter nail-they are about 6" long & 3/16" thick. Home Depot. Lowes, Ace Hardware--anywhere. You can easily make a sharper point on it with a bench grinder or file & can even buy a file handle for a buck or so & have your own custom tool. Works great for getting into quickmatch also.

or just cut the factory fuse short and put quick match on it and put the squib into the QM the other ways are good ways but they are askin for a missfire but they will mostly work well

Im going with using the ematch to visco port. Cutting the fuse to about 1/2 " and adding the port to it and then the ematch. Will see how it goes.

That should work fine for you. Since you have your 54 license it doesn't matter, but putting the ematch directly into the cake is considered a "modification" & changes the cake from a 1.4 to a 1.3 product. The only advantage to going directly into the cake [or individual tubes from a mine or comet cake] would be precise timing cues for a pyromusical. Let us know how it works out.

Well I wish you the best true once you open the cake and change the fuse orr change its timing it becomes a 1.3 cake however you also need a manufacturer license as well
