MS State Rep. Horne has introduced 2 bills, HB1373 and HB 1374 in the MS legislature
1373 would outlaw selling fireworks out of non-permanent buildings . ie tents
1374 would allow the sale of fireworks year around.
Currently MS allows fireworks to be sold mid December to Jan 2, and mid June to July 5th. It almost sounds like this would open up fireworks supermarkets and at the same time put the "Mom and Pop" operators and various churches and other social organizations that operate tents for raising funds out of business. Any thoughts from folks that live in states where sales are permitted year around and/or out of tents.
