This is video from a local community event in my area. I was hoping to get some video of the crew and setup; however, it never worked out. The turnout for the event was poor most likely because of the rain. One of the officials I spoke with said in prior years this was a Pyrotecnico display and it looks like Zambelli has been doing this show for the last two years. With both of these companies so close to this location, you typically see communities switch between contracts with them. However, you always have to consider the crew performance and types of fireworks used. Technicians on the shoot site and their interactions with the customer carry weight also.

This video looks like North Fayette fireworks 2011, this may be a Pyrotecnico display this year. You look at them both and tell me.

If I had a chance to have input on this display and shoot it. I would make the display shorter in length and more intense. I would do that with two simultaneous positions of cake firings 200 feet apart and use a flights of four inch shells.
Years ago I watched Ralph from Pyrotecnico shoot a display at Caste Village using all flights of four inch shells, it was intense and the audience loved it. These two fireworks companies are trying to beat each other out on these routine displays allowing the customer to shell count. Some of these small routine displays are becomes routine and predictable , they all are starting to look the same. It may be time to look at these small display differently. I say make them shorter and length and more intense. This will make a more engraving memory of your company shooting the event.
