Was wondering what people think of the difference between the 12" and 15" if they really have a effect with the difference?

All my Dr11 guns are now 12". I use to have 15s but didn't see any real advantage. The biggest problem with 15" guns are the fuses being to short. most consumer shell fuses will be to short for 15" guns.

I shoot both, but thats only because I was able to get my hands on some 15" guns. Really I would just save your money and buy 12" guns, some people will say the shell doesn't go as high, but I shoot both and I can't tell the difference in height, as for what thumpjunkey said, he is right on the money, 12" guns are much better for consumer shells because of the fuse length. Just remember, you can never have enough guns, just like you can never have enough shells.

I agree with Thumpjunkie on the short fuse issue. All my guns are 12" with the exception of five 5 shot fan racks with 15" tubes. I only use these for star mines, though. I found the longer tube gets the star pattern "high & tight" and looks much nicer than it would with a shorter tube. The bottom of the effect is much more discernible instead of a blur of fire. I've shot both canister & ball shells side by side with the 12" & 15" tubes with identical shells & didn't really perceive any noticeable difference in the height of the break. So, that being said, my vote is for the 12" guns.

If you're piggybacking shells it is advantageous to have 15 inch guns, thats the only time though.

If you are going to pigggyback shells, don't use cans, cuz then you are just going to waste your money, and risk your safety, "WHEN, NOT IF" one blows in the gun, ball shells are ok, but I would recommend practicing first a few 50 times, I don't do this at my shows because I always have one flowerpot or seriously low breaks, even out of a 15".

I have 12 and 15 in guns i find that the 15 work better for me, now you ask why? most good kits will have a 13 in gun over all. 1in is a plug so you get only 12 in. with 12in hpde guns you get 11ins, a 15 in you get 14in for your shell.and yes the fuse on some are short yhen you look at the price for the 15 is more. I got all mine 5 to 6 years ago price was good back then. i just like to have 3 more ins when i shoot. most are 15 and i have ony 80 12 in and 180 15 in guns the rest 20 are from the kits that i reuse
