Hello All
I have fireworks permit tomorrow 06/27/2014 at the Collier Sportsman Club. I am inviting people from the area that want to come to shoot some product to get in the mood for July 4th. If you are familiar with Pittsburgh this is located off of the Carnegie Exit of Interstate 79. Bring some Consumer Fireworks and shoot them off. I will be shooting at dark. I have some wfboom cakes , artillery shells , firecrackers etc.

If I find time tomorrow I may pick up some black powder and make a fireball in addition to the fireworks. I am going to see if I can get the fire department to come, they told me they are ready anytime for some fireworks . I have that metal mortar one of my YouTube subscribers gave me I should break it in.

At NiceShell.....
Bring whatever you want to shoot, glad you are coming. I am going to break in my pyroboom racks with some artillery shells. You have racks or you want to bring you some. The fire department may also stop by. I am also going to bring some stuff out of the woodwork, reloadable girandola , and an original Squirrel Brand Gulf War.

I have a couple of poor man racks. The featured shells will be bomblastic and Raceday from Kellner's. Also have some old excals to add to the mix. Also have a few Cutting Edge brand cakes from Kneppys.

I will bring a few extra racks if anyone needs them. Do not forget the usually stuff like torch, light etc. I have some of course but a few extra are nice.
Well whatever you do Dave, don't let the fire department get hose happy and spray your racks down afterwards. A few years back I had them present at one of my shows and after strict orders from me to stay out of my firing area until I gave the ok to come on in they took off ahead of me and sprayed my racks down. Filled up the tubes and soaked the racks good. I had to let them sit in the sun a few days afterwards and I was not a happy Pyro! Once wood gets wet and then drys again it accelerates the rotting process.

(I hope it's okay to get a response or two here, just bouncing off of this. Not trying to derail)
Is there any real benefit from using pressure treated wood rather than regular lumber for the racks? I know they'd be heavier, but they might last longer (until a shell blows in the tube, then it's back to square 1). Has anyone tried this?
Exactly Dave! I feel your pain...lol.
