Hello,
I was hoping some of you may be willing to share your thoughts? I'm a 32 year old with no criminal history and hold a medical license. I live on lakefront in a town that allows sale/lighting of 1.4 consumer fireworks. I would like to know your thoughts on the chances/percentage of me being approved for an ATF-54 to buy 1.3 for personal hobby. I reviewed the DVD package offered that seems to coach the applicant but was unable to find any information on how often the applicants are approved. Any information, thoughts or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

In my opinion doesn't seem too difficult. I have my interview Friday afternoon, seems pretty promising. The issue is probably going to be getting local permits to shoot the works.

Is a big part of the process showing that you have a safe place to store them? If you could post a thread about your interview that'd be great. I just don't want to go through the process for them to turn it down, i'm busy enough as it is, just want a bigger show over the lake this year.

Yes, storage is another key player. I did notice Dave has a ATF feedback post and they have storage at a New Hampshire club. You want to have contingency storage within 100 miles I believe someone correct me if I'm wrong. Whoever you buy your 1.3 from will give you storage if available because they want to sell the product!

Correct Pyro K on the contingency. Whoever you buy the 1.3 from will offer contingency when buying product from them.

I talked to you at Kellner's you sounded more 420 than 311. LOL Just kidding.
Ok, now we need to know what 311 means. I am picking up it is a band or a code for indecent exposure.

The ATF is a federal bureau. They are not concerned with what state you live in. They are vetting you to see if you seem either incompetent or criminally inclined, to determine if you can POSSESS 1.3G explosives. Your actual USE of 1.3G product is going to be regulated at the state level. And there is your potential problem. You need to research the New Hampshire law.

Bradley... The NHPA does have it's own mag and since you live in New Hampshire I'd certainly join the NHPA and become a member. Once a member you can get contingency for the 54. Also as a member you can attend all the shoots throghout the year. There is one this Saturday at the Londonderry fish and game club. It's a C shoot only, but you can meet some of the members and see the show being put on. I will miss this one, but there are others this yr

CTPYRO....With the NHPA having a shoot and meeting scheduled for saturday in Londonderry...do you think I could show up early even not being a member, and possibly get involved? The NHPA website doesn't have contact information.

Yes you can. The meeting is noon at the Gunclub. Ask for Rob McEachern or Anthony Cippiletto - those are two guys I know well. Tell them Scott White referred you
