Has anyone here ever put any of these to use? They are on sale locally but I don't want to spend X dollars on something that might be nothing better than black box shells. It claims that there is some 60 gram shells in the pack but I have fell victim to some of the previous canisters with ball shells inside.

These variety packs are always tempting to purchase, they are great for someone new or someone that wants to purchase just one item. I noticed in your previous post you said you were in the military and have some sets of racks. I would recommend purchasing true canister shells, you may get less and they may cost a little more but the sound is great. How can you tell if it is a true canister shell, it can sometimes be difficult, I used to tell people to squeeze the shell and sometimes you could feel if it is fake. However sometimes the manufacturer will uses firmer cardboard. I would say now in addition to squeezing it, I would feel the weight of it, if it feels light, it may be fake. Check it as soon as you get in the car; if it is fake, take it back into the store.
Here is a video about fake shells I found on YouTube.

Locally they were on sale for $60, minus discounts I get, so I was looking for some filler shells. I understand the importance of canister shells completely as I have around 600 Big's Pro Shells and 240 Excalibur shells in my stash. So i have lots of shells and not enough racks yet. :) I was just curious if these shells were any better than black box re-wraps.
Yes I was in the Army as a Population Control Specialist(11B) for 6 years.
