Plastic Firecracker?

This is an unlisted video. If I had a complaint about overloaded fireworks, it would be they are poorly made. Apparently, these plastic egg looking things are firecrackers. I am guessing they are made this way to avoid looking like an obvious firecracker. If you think about it, who makes a firecracker out of plastic pieces. Plastic pieces become shrapnel flying and hitting people, you can see one hits me when it goes off. The other one is a dud, the problem with duds are people take them apart or still try to light them.

I think you are correct Valmo2379. Occasionally we see these firecrackers make their way into United States.

it's in Europe not that strange to use plastics, it's cheaper and takes less time to build.
Lots of factorys in europe make plastic shells because it's cost effective.

You're right but not totally... There are some countries (Spain, France...) where plastic is strictly prohibited, especially for crackers ;-)

And plastic crackers are all make in Czech Republic or Poland, where the rules are the most permissive. Here is the comparate of a classic black powder cracker, and a jaja Din Jorge (only 2gr of fp with KClO4)

Plastic definetly easier/cheaper for them to manufacture (there's a little pouch of flash in those) but yes, not as safe with the plastic shrapnel . Even Phantom sells those mini mortar shells that are in cased in hard plastic which rains down everywhere.
I got some of those eggs recently and they're definetly bodacious .

But what you say about Spain is not true my friend, have a look at this cracker:)
They are made completeley out of a plastic casing, sold bt Pyroshopping.
Also the pum/pam/pim crackers of Pyroshopping contain plastic end caps.

Hmmmm yes, i know this cracker, His name is "Balas". TNT Dinamit and TNT Dinamit XL are also made with plastic end caps... but be sure it's strictly prohibited... Another example, In France Flash powder is strictly prohibited in crackers, but actually you can easily find some crackers with fp, or a mix of fp and bp... There are not enough controles, it's isn't because it's prohibited that you can't find it, also in very famous shops HAHA! Especially before the biggest feasts

I know what you mean Runbang, offcourse it's impossible to control the entire import of fireworks.
