I have mixed feeling about some of these Pyros episodes but I have to admit they do grab your attention sometimes. I believe they stopped airing these in United States, someone is posting them on youtube. Here are a few episodes that may be recent.

TV Show Pyros Episodes
I have mixed feeling about some of these Pyros episodes but I have to admit they do grab your attention sometimes. I believe they stopped airing these in United States, someone is posting them on youtube. Here are a few episodes that may be recent. ( Quote )
-I understand and feel the same way. In my opinion , they were calling the shells bombs to add additional thrill to it. When you think bombs.....you think danger.

“The Bombs”
This word is commonly used in fireworks especially by the old timers. It is a generic term. When you are working and loading a display there are times you will ask a member of the crew did they even look at the name of any of the shells. The answer is no.
A typical conversation may go, “What do we do now”? Answer “Put the bombs in the pipe”.
I want you to watch the video below. The person talking was the crew leader from a fireworks crew I was part of. I am playing the video not to make fun of him but for you to hear him correct himself for the camera. It is at the start of the video so you will not have to watch much.

Sure the show "Pyros" isn't perfect, but heck... with half the crap that's on the TV these days... I warmly welcome any show that even discusses fireworks, let alone one that one is dedicated to it. A big thumbs up from me!!

Besides, I think the chick on the show... Maude is sorta hot! It's probably the accent. LOL.

Great share, Dave. Would this show have anything to do with an announcement you had about a production company, a year back or so, looking for a family in the Pyro business?? Might have my details a little crossed up, but I do beleive you had a video or something of that sort.

This Pyro’s TV show (which I believe is based in Canada) may have inspired some television people here in United States to try to create a TV show about people in the fireworks business. I believe in total I was contacted three times by three different production companies. Mistakenly people thing these production people are looking for the most knowledgeable people out there in fireworks. To simplify what they told me, they want an idiosyncratic type family in the fireworks business. Then they follow all the drama and interpersonal relationship between them. Watching everyone behave with the pressure of meeting a July 4th deadline etc. I gave them a few referrals. The problem is fireworks people that want to be discovered need to get something out there so to speak. These production people need to see pictures of your families or crew and better yet YouTube videos that show not fireworks in the sky but people talking and interacting. I had a hard time making referrals because the people I did refer do not have anything out there to show someone. The producers told when they are doing searches they keep landing on my material. When they contact me, I do not even ask them if they are considering me because I know what they are looking for. Believe me I would love to be part of such a thing; I do more of an educational thing.
Most fireworks people try to stay unknown and use anonymous names and communicate with keyboards. The television told me flat out they do not want any big fireworks companies. If you really think about it how many fireworks people in United States other than me and a small handful of YouTube people are “Out There” with anything that can be used to refer them to a television production company. This is why this type of TV show did not happen in United States. The closest they told me they came was some family operation down south that sells fireworks and has a tow truck business.
If anyone feels they have what it takes to be considered for one of the reality-based shows pertaining to fireworks, get something out there I can show someone, pictures, videos etc. Next time these TV people contact me I will be happy to refer you.
